A balance-building activity where toddlers walk along a predefined path. Can make the path straight, zigzag etc
A string/rope, or small toys (like Lego) or any other household items
- Using the rope, create a straight or a zigzag path. Instruct the child to walk on the path without falling or without going out of line. - Keep clapping for encouragement - If the child falls, encourage it to get up on its own and continue walking - Note down the time. You may enhance the game by encouraging them to walk faster next time - Instead of a rope, you can use toys to define a path (eg: lay toys such that a path is created BETWEEN the toys) and instruct your child to walk inside the path
